32 min mobility basics w/ Alan: ankle dorsiflexion

Ankle dorsiflexion is the action that pulls the knee over toes or lifts the top of the foot up towards the knee. This action is necessary for going into a deep squat, helps in lunging patterns, and helps in stabilizing the knee from below. This class is focused on increasing range of motion and strengthening the ankle joint. Note: if you feel limited in the range of motion because of a blocked sensation in the front of the ankle, it may indicate limitations in your ankle capsule. Work on the tilt of your ankle with our classes on inversion and eversion.

30 min restorative w/ Katrina
This restorative practice uses quite a few props but it’s worth it! Please have two pillows, two yoga blocks, and at least one blanket (an additional one might be nice if it’s chilly!). We focus on how leaning into the back of our body can support a settling into the present moment.
